I always wanted to travel. My dream was to be a photographer for National Geographic and to travel around the world. But as you may guess, this has never happened and also my trips are not that often! Not complaining at all, after all Greece is a really beautiful country! Anyway, last month I had a great opportunity to visit Holland and more specifically de Haag. Never been there before, so I was really excited, even thought I couldn’t sleep at all, since I was worrying about the kids.
It was a business trip, but I was lucky to have free time to walk around the city (the centre actually) and to visit also the beach. I think I am in love! Flowers and bicycles and beautiful coffee shops and people walking around! The buildings were so beautiful! A modern building could be just next to a more traditional one and to look so beautiful together at the same time. And I loved this! It was like living in the past century (and maybe more) and to enjoy also something from the future.
The beach… well to be honest when I heard about the beach, I was expecting something… actually I didn’t know what to expect. So I took the tram and I got there. The beach was huge! The place was really flat and you could see far far away…this is something new to me! The colors were amazing and the sand was full of shells! The shops on the beach were too many! Casinos and coffee shops and bars and restaurants… to many lights and to many people, but again without being noisy at all. This was also something new to me!
The trip was over and finally I got relaxed…back to my kids!!! Waiting for the next one ….
