I didn’t even know asparagus…I have to admit that. But when you finally leave in your own home, away from your mother, then it is just the greatest opportunity to try new tastes and of course to experiment with cooking. I love my mother’s cooking, she cooks amazing…but sometimes I just wanted to taste something new for me, with more spices or cream or vegetables or not the usual pasta my mother use to cook… and this is one of the recipes I really like to enjoy especially when I find fresh asparagus in the market.
So imagine my surprise when I first visit a huge market and I discovered fresh asparagus! I knew what they were, but I have never tried them before. Ok…asparagus and internet to discover how you can cook them.
Most of the recipes were about fried asparagus with onion and garlic and just one was about pasta. I opened my fridge and checked my materials. Music in the background, a glass of white wine and let’s cook. Oh yes, I really enjoy to do this, even though now with the kids is a little more difficult!
Anyway, after a glass of wine, believe me, your imagination is huge! So cream and garlic and orzo and my delicious plate is ready. My hubby tried it (you know he is really kind to try all of my experiments…) and he loved it! Great… this dish remained in my collection and we taste it very often along with a glass of white wine!
