A couple of things that I always need in my home in each room precisely, are pens and small papers! Oh yes! Because I always realize that I miss something from my shopping list or to write down an appointment or something critical that I have to do and guess… I always lose my pens! So I wanted a small box or a pocket or something to collect them there and not looking for them all the time. But something that can easily be part of my kitchen’s décor or in any room and with color and of course to use it also for other small things. Easy… get your fabrics and let’s create a really cute pocket!
What are we going to need:
– Embroidery Hoop (I took it from here – do not forget to use coupon C2MAGAZINE for your gift discount!!!))
– Hot Glue
Optional : pom pom and hem tape for fabrics.
First choose your favorite fabrics. We are going to use two pieces of fabrics, so we may combine different styles of them. I used a plaid one and a floral one. Cut two pieces, a large one a little bit bigger than the hoop’s size and a small one with exactly the same width but at least have in length (the second piece is going to be the pocket, so choose your desired length accordingly).
I wanted to have a two different pockets, but I didn;t want to sew them or use a sewing machine. In this case just use hot glue ribbon for fabrics, put it where you want to have the second pocket and iron it. Your two pockets are ready!
Let’s decorate the pocket with some ribbon. As usual lately I have used a tiny pom pom ribbon I had. Put some hot glue on your ribbon and put it on the edge of the fabric piece that is going to be the pocket. Just be carefull not have glue on the second fabric.
Place your fabrics on the endoidery hoop, close it and cut the remaining pieces around. Your hoop pocket is actually ready!
If you are pretty sure that you will use it for long time, then you can use a piece of felt in the back of the hoop in order to make it more stable, like I did here!
We have done a few Simple without sewing fabric hoop pockets in our second craft party with C2 Magazine, but this is another post… I will share it with really soon!
