Saturday evening and the weather is so great! Hot , but not that hot! Just the perfect temperature to go out for a walk! One of our places to be, is always the Olympic Stadium in Athens, in Marousi. The perfect place to walk, to run, to play, to ride a bicycle… too many things to do! This time, we decided to have there the first photography leson to my daughter, with my compact photo camera!
I love photoshooting since I was a child. My father was also having the same passion with me and he always were trying to walk together and do excursions in order to photoshoot the nature. My first “professional” camera, was the A1 from cannon and I was so much in love with it…and then the films were dissapeared and the digital cameras was in fashion! I have changed a few of them, I have to admit, not because I wanted always something better, but also because of small accidents. But I always remain faithful to Cannon cameras! A big love I have to say. So, being a phtography lover and a blogger at the same time, I never go anywhere without my camera… and my daughter realized this and now she wants to be like me! No, I do not think that I am a great photographer, but this is something that I love and I am trying to learn more everytime.
It is always great to do activities with the kids and this time this was like a present for my daughter… my compact camera is now (almost) hers and she was thrilled about this! When we arrived in Olympic stadium, it was late at the afternoon, so her first lesson was a little bit difficult… photoshooting in the sunset! But again, this was a great opportunity to spend time together, to do something that we both like and to enjoy it of course…and this was also a great chance for me to take some pictures of the stadium!
I consider myself lucky, since I was here in 2004 and I was in this stadium watching the Olympic Games 3 times! A great period for the stadium…to many people around, music, people dancing and celebrating for their team or their favorite athlete, aromas from the street food and so many lights! It was like a huge party with people that I have never seen in my life before! Just perfect!
And now, 13 years after and the stadium is once more a great place to visit. Again it remains crowded and with so many kids playing around…but there is a small sadness from my side every time I am here… anyway….
And then the sun goes to sleep and the night is here…and the photoshooting is even more difficult without a tripod! But we are satisfied, my princess really enjoyed it and we already planned to be back a morning to repeat the lesson! After all, now I have a young friend to accompany me in these photoshooting walks!!!
