Do you believe in fairytales? Do you believe in Santa Claus? Do you think that there is the Santa Claus Kingdom??? If not, then try to visit Prague during Christmas! The mos amazing trip full of Christmas!!!!
It was a few days before Christmas when I had to travel just for a day to Prague. Usually this kind of trips are really excausted, but this one was just the perfect one to make you feel like Christmas, to enjoy amazing walks in the old town, to taste delicious food in the street markets, to buy traditional handmade gifts, to admire gorgeous buildings and to listen traditional Czech music! and the walk started from Wencelas Square and ended to Vltava River!
I have never imagined that it could be a city so beautiful decorated and with so many stret markets for Christmas! Of course I have never visited Prague so far, so now I have changed my mind. There were so many street markets full of traditional gifts and tastes and aromas and colors! And it was the first time, I got dissapointed with myself that I didn’t manage to visit all of these kiosks. But no worries… I purchased many things and I really enjoyed these amazing chcolate bites and the hot wine!
And then it is just appeared in front of my eyes…the main square of the old town with Jan Hus memorial, the church of Saint Nicolas, the Church of Our Lady before Týn and so many other amazing buildings! My favorite? Prague orloj the Prague astronomical clock , which I was really lucky to admire at 8 o clock exactly! So beautiful!
The most beautiful Christmas street party I have ever been! So many lights, so many aromas, so many people laughing and having fun and on the background traditional Czech music! I spent there almost all the afternoon and I wanted it more! I was feeling like I was in Santa Claus town!
As you can understand from my photos, I was there on the afternoon without sun and it was really difficult to photoshot without of course spending much time on that…because the point was to enjoy everything and not to miss the action! Forget to mention that it was also really cold, at least for me… -4 C was too cold for me. That’s why I was keep walking and tasting hot chocolate and wine and eating too much chocolate and sweets… not because I wanted but because it was really cold!!!!
My walk ended to Charles Bridge, admiring the Castle of Prague and trying to measure the swans on the lake. I didn’t manage it!
Really tired, but so enthusiastic! Amazing city that I will definately going to visit again! And last but not least, my night ended tasting traditional Czech food and dringing beer! Amazing!!! Simply amazing!!!!
