Every year during Spring, I have the same issues! Ok, not that bad issues, but you know, issues that makes you happy! So, how to add more color and flowers into my home’s decor or even how to decorate our balcony to enjoy it the hot nights? With simple solutions of course! Crafts and only with crafts! Beautiful Flower Vases , Cute Floral Wreaths, Candles with Color, Painted Planters and many more decorative crafts! And this year, the reason for the cutest Flower Vase ever, was three adorable tiny glass bottles I found! DIY Simple Flower Vase with Glitter and Small Bottles!
What do you need for making Glitter Flower Vase:
- small bottles
- wooden coaster
- white glue and paint brush
- glitter
- hot glue
- optionally: decorative sand
To be honest I am not a fan of glitter. But since my princess adores it, I had somehow, include it in our crafts. And then I got used of it and I really liked it. This means, that I was trying to find a way to add glitter on our daily life! After the Glitter Tea Candles, it was about time to use it in another craft and this time for our Flower Vase. The reason? Three adorable colored tiny bottles I found in Flying Tiger store! The idea just appeared, but I wanted to use something as the base for the vase. And then I remembered this old wooden coaster I had kept aside, just in case I wanted to use it for something else, than for my glass. And this was the time! So let’s craft it!
The craft is really simple, but we need to be a little patient with the glue. First apply with the brush, white glue on the wooden coaster. Add the glitter and let it dry. Apply once more glue on the glitter and again allow it to dry. Last but not least, in order to be more stable, use hair spray on the glitter! Our base for the vase is ready!
Second and last part of our craft, is using hot glue on the bottom of the bottles and glue it on the glitter wooden base. Our Flower vase is actually ready! You can use it of course with real flowers, however in my case I wanted flowers that can be dried without loosing their style and color. The perfect flower to do this is Amaranth!
Add decorative sand into the bottles and decorate them with your flowers. Amaranth is just the perfect flower even as dried! It always keep the color bold and the same schema. You can also add the tiny white flowers we have usually for wedding decoration, and I cannot recall their name!
What do you think? Simple and low budget craft to add a colored sparkle in our decoration!
So, what was the last simple craft you did lately?
Happy Crafting!!!
